How do I register? You can register by clicking on the "Sign Up" link at the top right corner of the homepage. Please provide the information in the form that appears. You can review the terms and conditions, provide your payment mode details and submit the registration information. Close

Do I have to necessarily register to shop on bigbasket? You can surf and add products to the cart without registration but only registered shoppers will be able to checkout and place orders. When will I receive my order?Once you are done selecting your products and click on checkout you will be prompted to select delivery slot. Your order will be delivered to you on the day and slot selected by you. If we are unable to deliver the order during the specified time duration (this sometimes happens due to unforeseen situations) we will credit 10% of your order value to your bigbasket account.Close
How are the fruits and vegetables packaged?Fresh fruits and vegetables are hand picked and hand cleaned. We ensure hygienic and careful handling of all our products.Close
How are the fruits and vegetables weighed?Every fruit and vegetable varies a little in size and weight. While you shop we show an estimated weight and price for everything priced by kilogram. At the time of delivery we weigh each item to determine final price. This could vary by 5% at maximum. Therefore if you have shopped for something that costs Rs. 100 per kg, and we delivery 1.5 kg of the product to you (eg cabbage, pineapple), you will still be charged a maximum of Rs. 105. In case the weight of the product is lesser than what you ordered, you will pay correspondingly less.Close

What is a cut-off time and what are the corresponding cut-off timing for each slot?Cut off time is the time after which the order gets processed for delivery. After this time you will not be able to modify or cancel your order.Cut off time for Slot 3 & Slot 4 is 12 noon on the same day and cut off time for Slot 1 & Slot 2 is 7 pm on the previous day.Close
Can I add products after the cut off time for a slot?No, you will not be able to make any changes to your order after the cut off time for your selected slot. When and how can I cancel an order?You can cancel an order before the cut off time of your slot (1 pm for evening slots and 6 am for morning slots) by contacting our customer support team or you can also cancel your order from the Customer Service section on the bigbasket app.
Note: If you are a customer in Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai or Ahmedabad, we charge a cancellation fee of Rs. 30 if the order is cancelled after 15 minutes from the time of order. You can choose to reschedule the order for a different time and date subject to slot availability and skip cancellation charges. Rescheduling is possible only for slotted delivery. Express & Specialty store orders cannot be rescheduled. For prepaid orders the cancellation fee will be deducted from the refund amount and for Cash On D orders the cancellation charges will be debited to your bigbasket wallet. In your next order it will be added as an additional charge.

Why is there an order cancellation fee?We charge an order cancellation fee to compensate for the slot, time and effort incurred towards processing an order.
Every order placed has to undergo a system driven process as well as a manual process in order to make sure the order reaches our customers on time, every time. For this purpose, a slot is booked for every order that gets placed in our system and the order picking process happens seamlessly. In this entire process we incur labor as well as an opportunity cost on the booked slot. During the event of a cancellation the entire process has to be stopped and reset. This takes up considerable processing time to open the slot yet again for another customer to order. Close
What You Receive Is What You Pay ForAt the time of delivery, we advise you to kindly check every item as in the invoice. Please report any missing item that is invoiced. As a benefit to our customers, if you are not available at the time of order delivery or you haven’t checked the list at the time of delivery we provide a window of 48hrs to report missing items. There is a difference in the amount mentioned in the invoice sent by the store and the order value shown by bigbasket when placing the order. Why should I pay the extra amount?bigbasket has a standard policy of weight variance up to 5% on its orders. However, in the case of fresh products sold by the Specialty Stores, the final weight can only be determined at the time of preparing the order. For example, a fresh chicken may weigh 1.15 KG while the order would have been taken for 1 KG. The Specialty Store would not be in a position to provide the exact weight requested for and would only be able to sell the fresh chicken in its entirety. To this extent, bigbasket allows Specialty Stores to vary the weight of the product by up to 25%. This change in weight is reflected in the bill amount difference. You are requested to pay the amount in the bill provided by the retailer at the time of delivery along with the applicable delivery charges.

Please note that bigbasket works with the Specialty Stores to limit the variance in weight to as low as possible.Close

Alternatively, you can search for the product on the search tab using a combination of the store and product names. What do I do if an item from Specialty store is defective (Poor Quality, broken, leaking, expired)?We have a no questions asked return policy. In case you are not satisfied with a product received you can return it to the delivery personnel at the time of delivery or you can contact our customer support team within a maximum duration of 3 working hours from the time of delivery and we will do the needful. However, we will not be able to accept returns in case intimation is received post 3 hours from the time of delivery due to perishable nature of these products. Also, for us to proceed with return/refund, the product along with original packaging/ freebies/ accessories will have to be returned to us. How Does it Work
Where do the products come from?All bb Specialty orders are processed from your local trusted neighborhood store and delivered to you by the bigbasket team. If you are not happy with any product, we have a No-Questions-Asked Return Policy and you can return them to our executive. We would also love feedback on the stores listed on bb Specialty so that we can bring to you quality products from good stores only. Please note that bigbasket is only facilitating the purchase of your favorite product from your local store. bigbasket is NOT responsible for the quality of the product. Close
How is my order processed?As soon as you place an order, the following actions take place:

1.You will get a notification through SMS of the confirmed order along with the expected delivery time.

2. The Specialty Store is notified of the order and the delivery slot. The Specialty Store then prepares your order, packs it and generates their bill for the same.

3.Meanwhile, after the order is accepted by the store, an executive is deployed by bigbasket to pick up the order and deliver the same to you.

4. After the order is delivered to you successfully, you will receive an SMS confirming the delivery. You may also receive a call for feedback.

Throughout the above stages, our Order Fulfilment Team continuously monitors the process so that you get the desired product within the time committed to you. In case the order cannot be processed for any reason whatsoever, the same will be informed to you at the earliest. Close
How will I know if any item in my order is unavailable?We try to make sure the inventory at the store is always updated so that your order can be fulfilled at all times. However, in case an item you ordered is unavailable at the store you selected, our order fulfilment team will notify you of the same in quick time. They will also suggest possible alternatives for the out of stock product should you desire to change the order. Close
What are the operational hours for BB Specialty Stores?bb Specialty products are available for ordering only during the operational hours of the Specialty store. After a store is closed, orders are scheduled for delivery in the first slot available during the next operational day of the store. Please note that the store operating times shown are also adjusted for product availability and delivery times. You can also place an order in advance in a slot convenient to you. Why do I not see bb Specialty for my address?Each bb Specialty store has a defined delivery area. Should you be residing in an area that falls outside of the delivery area, you will not see the Specialty store. Who is responsible for my bb Specialty Order?At bigbasket, we believe in total customer satisfaction and hence, go to great lengths to make sure you get the product you want and at the time you want. bb Specialty Stores is our new service to deliver products from your neighborhood specialty store to you within 90 minutes of placing the order. I received an invoice from the Specialty Store. Shouldn’t bigbasket provide an invoice?bb Specialty is a marketplace where your favorite stores can sell their products to you. bigbasket only facilitates the entire process by providing the technology and logistics capabilities to enable the sale. As such, you are buying directly from the Specialty Store and hence will receive an invoice from the store. Close
There is a difference in the amount mentioned in the invoice sent by the store and the order value shown by bigbasket when placing the order. Why should I pay the extra amount?bigbasket has a standard policy of weight variance up to 5% on its orders. However, in the case of fresh products sold by the Specialty Stores, the final weight can only be determined at the time of preparing the order. For example, a fresh chicken may weigh 1.15 KG while the order would have been taken for 1 KG. The Specialty Store would not be in a position to provide the exact weight requested for and would only be able to sell the fresh chicken in its entirety. To this extent, bigbasket allows Specialty Stores to vary the weight of the product by up to 25%. This change in weight is reflected in the bill amount difference. You are requested to pay the amount in the bill provided by the retailer at the time of delivery along with the applicable delivery .

Please note that bigbasket works with the Specialty Stores to limit the variance in weight to as low as possible. Close
What guarantees does bigbasket give for Specialty Store products?The quality of the product you buy on bb Specialty Stores is guaranteed by the store. bigbasket is not responsible for the same. bigbasket is only responsible for ensuring your order is correctly captured and transmitted to the store. As such, bigbasket only provides a delivery guarantee. That is, bb Specialty guarantees to deliver products from your trusted neighborhood store in the time committed to you. The time will be explicitly communicated to you when you place an order. In case, we are late, we shall credit 10% of the bill value to your wallet. We also offer as always, a no questions asked return policy.

Why does the estimated delivery time vary from seller to seller?Delivery times are influenced by location of the Seller, time taken by the Seller to make that product available and the delivery destination. In order to make more products available to you, we may have increased the delivery area of some stores. For such locations or a very specialized product, the expected delivery times will vary based on the distance between the store and the delivery area. Close
