A creamy, mildly sweet kheer made with finger millet vermicelli, milk, and cardamom, finished with roasted dry fruits.

Cooking Steps

Finger Millet Vermicelli Kheer

Step 1 :

Boil the milk in a thick-bottomed pan.

Step 2 :

Roast the finger millet vermicelli separately in ghee until aromatic.

Step 3 :

Roast dry fruits in ghee and keep aside.

Step 4 :

Add the roasted vermicelli to the boiling milk along with water and cook for 3 minutes, stirring gently.

Step 5 :

Add sugar and mix well.

Step 6 :

When the contents start boiling, add cardamom powder and roasted dry fruits.

Step 7 :

Switch off the flame, allow to cool slightly, and serve.
