A traditional, creamy dessert made with foxtail millet, milk, and aromatic cardamom, finished with roasted dry fruits.

Cooking Steps

Foxtail Millet Kheer

Step 1 :

Cook the dehulled foxtail millet in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and keep aside.

Step 2 :

Roast cashew nuts and dry fruits in ghee until lightly golden. Keep aside.

Step 3 :

In a pan, boil the water and milk together. Add the cooked millet, sugar, and stir slowly for 10–15 minutes until well-cooked and slightly thick.

Step 4 :

Add cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 5 :

Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and dry fruits.

Step 6 :

Serve hot as a traditional sweet.
