A traditional, creamy payasam made with little millet, milk, and cardamom, finished with roasted dry fruits.

Cooking Steps

Little Millet Payasam

Step 1 :

Cook the dehulled little millet in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and keep aside.

Step 2 :

Roast cashew nuts and other dry fruits in ghee until lightly golden. Keep aside.

Step 3 :

Boil the milk, then add the cooked millet and sugar. Stir slowly for 10–15 minutes until well-cooked and slightly thick.

Step 4 :

Add cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 5 :

Garnish with roasted cashew nuts and dry fruits. Serve hot.
