Fulkopir Pata Bata is a rustic winter delicacy in Bengali cuisine, where fresh cauliflower and cabbage leaves are ground into a fragrant paste, best enjoyed with steaming hot rice.

Cooking Steps

Fulkopir Pata Bata

Step 1 :

Clean, wash and chop the leaves finely.

Step 2 :

In a pan, put oil, seasoning of kalonji, garlic and green chilli.

Step 3 :

Add the chopped leaves and cook for 5 mins.

Step 4 :

After cooling, paste it in a mixie jar. Again, cook this paste in the remaining oil for 5 mins.

Step 5 :

Serve hot with steamed rice, green chilli and mustard oil.
