A soft, rustic flatbread made from sorghum flour, traditionally enjoyed as a wholesome alternative to wheat rotis.

Cooking Steps

Sorghum Roti

Step 1 :

Add hot water to the sieved sorghum flour and knead into a soft, smooth dough.

Step 2 :

Divide the dough into equal portions (about 50 g each) and shape into round balls.

Step 3 :

Place a dough ball on a polythene sheet and spread into a round using a rolling stick or by gently pressing with the palm.

Step 4 :

Cook the roti on a preheated tawa, flipping to bake evenly on both sides.

Step 5 :

Serve hot with curry or dal.
