A healthy and wholesome one pot meal to satisfy the cravings of eating rice and dal in a different way.

Step 1 :

Heat a pressure cooker.

Step 2 :

Add oil, let it heat, add jeera.

Step 3 :

Once it crackles, add the chopped green chilli.

Step 4 :

And ginger and garlic paste.

Step 5 :

Add the onion and sauté till the onions are soft, add tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and garam masala.

Step 6 :

Add salt, the soaked masoor dal and basmati rice to it, add 2 cups of water and cook it for 2 whistles.

Step 7 :

Serve it with some curd and fresh coriander.
