Packed with a healthy blend of green veggies and chickpeas, this dish is a spin on the classic hummus recipe. It is very easy to make, green veggie hummus is an irresistible way of snacking on your greens.

Step 1 :

Boil the chickpeas in pressure cooker for 45 minutes on high pressure. If you have time, soak them overnight to reduce the cooking time.

Step 2 : To prepare Tahini

Add sesame seeds to a saucepan over medium-low heat and toast, stirring constantly until the seeds become fragrant and very lightly colored, 3 to 5 minutes.

Step 3 :

Let it cool completely. Blend sesame seeds for about 1 minute.

Step 4 :

Add 3 tablespoons of olive oil to it and blend for another 2 to 3 minutes. The consistency should be smooth, not gritty and also pourable.

Step 5 :

Once the chickpeas are cooked, let them cool.

Step 6 :

Then, add all the ingredients along with a tablespoon of Tahini to the blender and blend until smooth. The hummus is ready in minutes.

Step 7 :

Green veggie hummus can be served for snacks with healthy crackers/pita chips or spread over wraps or even used as a sandwich filling.
