Floret Samosa with Dry Fruit Stuffing

This recipe is a twisted version of the traditional samosa and gujiya recipes.

Step 1 :

Take a tsp of ghee in a microwave bowl. Add grated coconut and jaggery powder to it.

Step 2 :

Add chopped cashew nuts, almonds, chironji, dates and a pinch of cardamom powder.

Step 3 :

Mix it and combine thoroughly. Microwave it for 2 minutes and keep aside.

Step 4 :

Knead a soft dough using wheat flour, salt, 2 tsp ghee and water. Cover it with a wet muslin cloth and keep it aside.

Step 5 :

Make even sized balls from the dough. Now roll out small sized chapati. Cut the edges to make square shapes.

Step 6 :

Stuff the mixture and seal it properly using a little water.

Step 7 :

Fold it in a particular pattern to get a flower shape.

Step 8 :

Heat ghee in a pan and deep fry the florets till golden brown.

Step 9 :

Serve it hot!
