It is a famous South Indian sweet dish that is made from semolina and saffron strands. It is easy to make and healthy at the same time.

Step 1 :

In a pan, heat 1 tsp ghee and add rava to it.

Step 2 :

Fry rava on low flame until light brown in color.

Step 3 :

Now, add milk to the rava and let it cook for about 5 minutes. Allow the rava to absorb the milk.

Step 4 :

Once done, the milk will reduce in quantity. Add sugar it and continuously stir to prevent lumps from forming.

Step 5 :

Toss in saffron strands and cook for a minute. Once the rava changes color, add cardamom powder and ghee for flavour.

Step 6 :

Stir it well and allow it to cook for another minute.

Step 7 :

Chop the dry fruits and set it aside.

Step 8 :

Switch off the gas and serve it on a plate. Garnish the sweet with dry fruits.
