Phirni is a delicious traditional North Indian dessert made with rice, milk and nuts and served in clay bowls. It is enjoyed during specials occasions and festivals like Diwali, Holi and Karwa Chauth. Usually, this dessert is flavoured with saffron but, it's the summer season after all, and being a betrothed slave to the king of fruits, I incorporated in mangoes to appease my loyal taste buds.
