Makhana Hariyali Paneer

This is my own recipe which is a tasty and healthy main course option for the Navratri festival. All the ingredients are suitable for Navratri fasting.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Make a powder of Makhans (which are roasted in ghee). Keep aside.

Step 2 :

In a pan, take 1 tbsp. ghee and add jeera, cloves, bay leaf, black pepper, green elàichi and roast them for 1 minute on a medium flame.

Step 3 :

Add chopped ginger, green chilies, and tomatoes and stir for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4 :

Remove from the flame and make a fine paste of it.

Step 5 :

In a pan, add 1 tbsp ghee again and add the fine paste and yogurt. Stir for 1-2 minutes and then add makhana powder, milk, and little water. Stir for 1 minute on a high flame.

Step 6 :

After that, add paneer pieces and fresh cream and keep the lid on for 1-2 minutes.

Step 7 :

Remove from the flame. Tasty and healthy Hariyali Paneer is ready to eat.
