Bagrry's Steel Cut Oats Chana Dal Pulao

An Indian dish of rice cooked in stock with spices having vegetables. The twist is adding Bagrry's Steel Cut Oats that makes it low in GI and Nutrient dense. It imparts high Protein and especially high Fibre that is missing from rice. Bagrry's Steel cut oats have been especially introduced to the Indian market because it is perfect for the Indian palate. It provides with the goodness of oats with a great chewy texture.

Preparation

Step 1 :

Dry roast oats in a pan. Take out in a bowl.

Step 2 :

Heat Oil, add Cumin Seeds. After spluttering, add onion and green Chilies for few minutes. Add Turmeric Powder, Red Chili Powder and roasted Oats. Cook for few minutes.

Step 3 :

Add soaked chana dal & mix well.

Step 4 :

Add water in the pan and cook for 10 minutes.

Step 5 :

Add lemon Juice & coriander leaves. Heat for five minutes.

Step 6 :

Serve hot. Garnish with coriander leaves.
