A healthy sweet made with channa dal and coconut, with the flavor of cardamon powder

Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Wash & soak channa dal in water for 3-4 hours.

Step 2 :

Discard the water and pressure cook the dal after 4 hours with salt until tender.

Step 3 :

Cool completely and grind the dal to a paste without adding any water.

Step 4 :

Grind the desiccated coconut finely.

Step 5 :

Take a heavy bottom pan add the dal paste,sugar and the coconut and keep stirring on a low flame for about 15-20 mins.. keep stirring continuously till the mixture starts leaving the sides ...add the Elaichi powder & ghee and give a good mix.

Step 6 :

Line a wooden board with parchment paper...transfer the mixture ..place another piece of parchment paper and gently roll to a thickness of about 1/4 inch..allow to cool and cut into desired shapes. Enjoy!!
