Dahi Vadas is a dish famous all over India.Dahi vadas can be eaten as a snack or as part of the meal.

Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Wash urad dal and soak it in water for 2 hours.

Step 2 :

Drain water and grind the dal till it becomes smooth.

Step 3 :

Add salt as per taste and mix it thoroughly with your hand. Batter should become fluffy and light.

Step 4 :

Take small amount of this batter and put raisin/cashew inside it and then deep fry this vada.

Step 5 :

Boil water in a big pan. Soak all fried vadas in hot water till they become soft.

Step 6 :

Now squeeze out the excess water from the vadas by pressing with your hands. Arrange the vadas in a bowl.

Step 7 :

Add little salt and sugar to curd. Mix well, and pour the curd mixture till it covers all the vadas. Refrigerate dahi vadas.

Step 8 : For Serving

Sprinkle chilli powder, chaat masala on the vadas. Garnish with pomegranate & Boondi. Serve them with sweet tamarind chutney and pudina chutney.
