Poha Kheer

Poha kheer is a delicious dessert. It is famous in North and South India.

Method

Step 1 :

First take six big spoons full of Avalakki add little ghee and fry the poha till golden colour.

Step 2 :

Then when it cools down little, crush it with a wooden spoon.

Step 3 :

Then wash it in a big tea filter.

Step 4 :

Boil 1ltr milk and add then add the crushed poha to it.

Step 5 :

Keep stirring and boiling till poha gets cooked.

Step 6 :

Then add sugar 1/2 cup. Let it boil for some more time till it becomes thick.

Step 7 :

Now add cardamon powder. Heat three spoons of ghee add kaju (cashew nut) pieces, grated Almonds.

Step 8 :

If you like vanilla flavour you can add little vanilla custard powder.

Step 9 :

Mix two spoons of vanilla custard powder in half glass warm milk and add it to the kheer before adding sugar.
