Jackfruit Dahi

Beat the summer heat with this refreshing Jackfruit Dahi, where the tropical sweetness of ripe jackfruit blends beautifully with creamy homemade yoghurt.

Cooking Steps

Jackfruit Dahi

Step 1 :

Wash the jackfruit pieces, remove the seeds, and blend them semi-coarsely in a blender. Powder the batasa and keep it aside.

Step 2 :

Boil the milk and reduce it to half its original quantity. Remove it from the stove. Mix in the condensed milk, fresh cream, and powdered batasa.

Step 3 :

Allow the mixture to cool slightly. When it is warm enough to dip your finger into without burning, but still quite hot, add the blended jackfruit and mix well.

Step 4 :

Now take a porcelain vessel. Put 4 teaspoons of sour curd into it. Slowly pour the jackfruit-milk mixture over the curd from a height of about 6 inches. You will notice foam or bubbles forming on top.

Step 5 :

Cover the vessel and keep it aside inside your meat safe or in a large casserole until the dahi sets.
