A creamy, no-bake Tiranga Milk Cake that layers rich milk solids with natural spinach green and saffron hues, celebrating flavour and patriotism in every slice.

Cooking Steps

Tiranga Milk Cake

Step 1 :

Take milk in a pan and place it on the stove on medium heat.

Step 2 :

Add 2 slices of bread and milk powder to the same pan.

Step 3 :

Stir the mixture continuously until it becomes thick and lump-free.

Step 4 :

Add sugar to the mixture and mix well until dissolved.

Step 5 :

Once the mixture thickens, remove it from the heat.

Step 6 :

Take spinach and blanch it in boiling water for 2 minutes.

Step 7 :

Transfer the blanched spinach to a mixer and make a smooth paste.

Step 8 :

Heat butter in a pan, add the spinach purée, and sauté for about 2 minutes to remove the raw taste.

Preparation / Setup

Step 1 :

Divide the prepared milk & bread mixture into three equal parts.

Step 2 :

Mix the spinach paste with one portion to give it a green colour.

Step 3 :

Mix saffron food colour with another portion, while the third portion remains plain (white).

Step 4 :

Line a mould with butter paper, then gently brush sunflower oil evenly over it.

Step 5 :

Layer the mixtures in the mould: Green (spinach) layer, White (plain) layer. Saffron-coloured layer.

Step 6 :

Sprinkle dry fruits evenly on top.

Step 7 :

Allow it to cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for 2 hours to set properly.

Step 8 :

Finally, the Tiranga Milk Cake is ready to be served.
