Millet Hotchpotch is a fulfilling dish to uplift your spirit on a cozy rainy day while not compromising on the fitness regime, as all the ingredients are perfectly healthy!

Cooking Steps

Millet Hotchpotch

Step 1 :

Wash and soak foxtail millet and moong dal for 10 minutes in water.

Step 2 :

Cut vegetables like carrot and beans.

Step 3 :

Pressure cook the soaked millet, dal and veggies (For the given quantity, almost 800 to 900 ml of water is needed to cook).

Step 4 :

Heat a Kadhai and add 3 tsp ghee, add jeera 1 tsp, 2 inch ginger, 5 petals of garlic, one chopped onion and 4 green chillies and fry for 4-5 minutes. Then add a pinch of turmeric.

Step 5 :

Add the pressure cooker millet, dal and veggies to the kadhai and mix well.

Step 6 :

Add salt as per taste, sprinkle pepper powder, add 1 tbsp jaggery and mix well.

Step 7 :

Garnish with fresh coriander and grated coconut.

Step 8 :

Serve the spicy Millet Hotchpotch to your guests and have a fulfilling start for a cozy rainy day to lift up your spirit.
