Celebrate Baisakhi with a burst of flavours! Try out the mouth-watering Mango Phiri recipe, made with rice, milk and juicy ripe mangoes.

For Mango Phirni

Step 1 :

First, boil the milk. Add 1 cup of coarsely churned rice. Add cardamon powder and 4-5 strands of saffron.

Step 2 :

Boil the mixture. Add 3 tbsp of sugar to it.

Step 3 :

Reduce the heat to low and simmer the mixture until the milk has thickened.

Step 4 :

Once the mixture has thickened, transfer it to a bowl and let it cool to room temperature.

Step 5 :

Stir in mango pulp to the mixture. For garnish, sprinkle chopped almonds and pistachios on top of the mixture.

Step 6 :

Transfer the ready phirni to a clay pot and refrigerate it until it is chilled and set. Serve cold.
