Cashew Badam Murukku

Tasty and crispy murukku made with cashew and badam.

For Murukku

Step 1 :

Measure cashews and almonds and soak in hot water for 2 hours

Step 2 :

Remove skin from almonds, first grind to a coarse paste, then add fried gram dhal too, and grind to a smooth paste.

Step 3 :

Measure and take Idiyappam flour in a bowl, add to it hing powder, sesame seeds, salt and the ground paste of cashew-almond.

Step 4 :

First, with the tip of your fingers, mix everything, it will become a crumbly mixture, then add water little by little and knead to a soft dough.

Step 5 :

Grease the murukku press, take a suitable plate for it and directly fry it in hot oil.

Step 6 :

Let it cook, after 2-3 minutes, gently flip it over, and the best way to know that they are cooked is, the hissing sound will stop.

Step 7 :

Let the crispies cool down, then store them in an airtight container.
