Mango Pie

A delicious summer pie with a mango filling encased in crust.

Cooking Steps

Pie

Step 1 :

Put maida, salt, and butter in a bowl and give it a mix until it resembles crumbs.

Step 2 :

Add a little cold water and make a tight dough. Keep in the fridge for 15 minutes.

Mango filling

Step 1 :

In a kadai, add butter, maida and saute till.

Step 2 :

Add 1 cup milk and make a stew.

Step 3 :

Add sugar and make a thick stew. Now add cardamom powder.

Step 4 :

Lastly, add 1 cup of mango pieces, and let it cool.

Mango Pie

Step 1 :

Take a tart dish and glaze it with little butter.

Step 2 :

Now take the dough and make 2 portions. Roll out 1 portion, put it on the tart dish and prick it with a fork.

Step 3 :

Take the mango filling and pour it over the tart.

Step 4 :

Roll out another portion of dough. Lay it out according to your design and brush a little butter mixed with sugar on top.

Step 5 :

Bake in a preheated oven for 140 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. A little browning till crisp will be good.
