A very popular in north India, a proteinaceous green chickpea recipe.

Cooking Steps

Hare Chane ki Sabzi

Step 1 :

First puree the blanched spinach and keep it aside.

Step 2 :

In medium-sized sauce pan, add 1 tbsp oil. Once hot, add the spinach puree, green chilies, and ginger paste. Sauté this well.

Step 3 :

Add salt, sugar, and the rest of the dry masalas.

Step 4 :

Sauté this for 2 mins.

Step 5 :

Now add green channa and cover it with a lid. Let it cook for another 10 mins (note: don't boil or overcook the channa).

Step 6 :

Serve it hot with bajre ki roti or any other Indian roti.
