Butter Chicken Biryani

This butter chicken biryani is an all time favourite dish. It is a great party dish liked by young and old.

Step 1 :

Clean and wash the chicken pieces thoroughly.

Step 2 :

Parboil the basmati rice and keep aside.

Step 3 :

Cut onion in thin slices and fry till golden brown.

Step 4 :

Marinate the boneless chicken pieces in curd, cashew paste, salt, garam masala, chilly powder, coriander powder and ginger garlic paste for an hour.

Step 5 :

Heat butter in a thick bottom pan, add whole spices to it and fry for a minute.

Step 6 :

Now add the marinated chicken pieces and cook for 5 minutes on high flame.

Step 7 :

Add tomato puree, coriander, half of the fried onions, mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

Step 8 :

Now, add fresh cream, and a layer of parboiled basmati rice, mint leaves and rest of the fried onions.

Step 9 :

Lastly, add saffron milk on top.

Step 10 :

Cover and seal the lid with the dough and cook on low flame for 30 to 40 minutes.

Step 11 :

Serve hot with vegetable raita.
