An Indian dessert made from milk and cranberries and garnished with dry fruits.

Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Boil milk in a saucepan and continuously stir it to make paneer.

Step 2 :

Turn off the flame and let it cool down over the counter.

Step 3 :

Mix 2 tsp of water and 2 tsp vinegar together and add it to the milk in portions. The paneer will begin to form.

Step 4 :

Drain out the water and keep the paneer aside. Use a strainer or a muslin cloth if needed.

Step 5 :

Wash the paneer 2-3 times so that the sourness of the vinegar is dissolved completely.

Step 6 :

Add condensed milk in a pan and gently mash the prepared paneer into it.

Step 7 :

Add cardamon powder as desired and mix it well.

Step 8 :

Grease a tray with ghee and spread the prepared kalakand mix in it.

Step 9 :

Garnish it with cranberries and pistachios.

Step 10 :

Refrigerate it for an hour and enjoy the cranberry kalakand.
