Cheese Lava Appe

Who doesn't love a traditional crunchy appe, with a goey, silky molten cheese?! This is a fusion traditional dish, which combines best of both worlds, cheese lava appe. It is a perfect dish for breakfast, evening snack and a party starter. When you bite in the spicy crunchy exterior, the warm molten cheese oozes out taking you to heaven! It's truly finger licking good!

Step 1 :

Add all the vegetables - carrot, cabbage, capsicum, onion and corn, chili paste, ginger paste, a pinch of hing and salt to taste to the idli batter. Mix well.

Step 2 :

Add 1/2 teaspoon oil in each cavity of the appe pan and let it heat on high flame. Put the flame on sim when the oil is heated.

Step 3 :

Add 1/2 tablespoon of batter in each cavity. Add a small cube of Britannia cheese cube in middle of appe. A cheese cube can be further cut into 4 smaller cubes.

Step 4 :

Add another spoon of appe batter over the cheese to cover it completely.

Step 5 :

Cook from both sides until crispy.

Step 6 :

Enjoy it piping hot with mint-coriander chutney and tomato ketchup.
