Palak aur Matar ka Paratha

This recipe is made from spinach and peas that will keep the body warm in winter.

Step 1 :

Rinse spinach in water and drain it. Boil them in hot water for 5-7 minutes and strain.

Step 2 :

Add the blanched spinach leaves, ginger and green chili to the blender. Make a smooth puree without adding any water.

Step 3 :

In a large bowl, add wheat flour and knead into a dough with the help of spinach puree. Add required amount of water.

Step 4 :

Keep the dough aside for 15 minutes.

Step 5 :

Heat a pan on the gas, add 1 tbsp oil in it, add hing, cumin seeds and washed and drained peas into it.

Step 6 :

Add red chilli powder, salt, coriander powder and cover it for 10-15 mins. After the peas shrink, switch off the flame and add the prepared masala peas into the blender.

Step 7 :

Make a thick paste from it by grinding it twice. Now, the stuffing is ready for paratha.

Step 8 :

Take a medium size ball from the spinach dough. Roll the dough ball into a circle and add 1 spoon peas puree on it and roll it into a ball.

Step 9 :

Roll into a medium sized paratha. Place it on a hot tava.

Step 10 :

Once brown bubbles start to appear on the paratha, flip it and apply oil on it and cook it from both sides.

Step 11 :

The paratha is now ready to serve. You can have it with curd, chutney or tea.
