Eggless Custard Vanilla Cake

This recipe is made from of custard powder instead of all purpose flour. To make it healthier, wheat flour can be used as a substitute for custard.

Step 1 :

Boil the milk, add custard vanilla powder and keep it aside to cool.

Step 2 :

Take a bowl, add curd, oil, 1 and 1/2 cup sugar, vanilla essence, food color and milk with custard. Mix it well until the ingredients combine.

Step 3 :

Then add wheat flour, baking powder and baking soda to it and mix well.

Step 4 :

Meanwhile, heat kadai on the gas stove, add a stand to it and cover it for 5 minutes on low flame.

Step 5 :

Add a little water to the kadai to ensure that the cake is well cooked.

Step 6 :

Grease the baking tray with butter, dust it with flour in order to avoid the batter from sticking or getting burnt.

Step 7 :

Pour the batter into the baking tray and tap it to remove the air bubbles.

Step 8 :

Next, place it in the kadai for 45 minutes and cover it with a lid.

Step 9 : For butter cream frosting

Take a bowl, add butter, once it softens, whisk it for 2-3 minutes.

Step 10 :

Once the butter consistency turns creamy, add 200 gms of sugar and mix it well.

Step 11 :

Add vanilla essence and milk to give a smooth finish and added flavour.

Step 12 :

Once the cake is ready, allow it to cool for an hour, then coat it with the prepared buttercream.
