Step 1 :

Soak the rice and moong daal overnight in water.

Step 2 :

In the morning, drain it, rinse it and put it in a large pot. Add the chopped carrots, chopped zucchini, turmeric powder, hing cumin seeds, grated ginger, garam masala, salt and pepper.

Step 3 :

Now, add water to the pot and bring it to a boil. Turn down to low heat and simmer until the moong dal is finely cooked.

Step 4 :

When the moong dal has completely disintegrated, blend the soup with a stick blender.

Step 5 :

Serve it hot with salt and pepper and a generous squeeze of lemon. Ensure your cooking time is approximately 15-20 minutes.

Step 6 :

Serve it hot.
