Sattu Paratha

This is a simple, healthy recipe that is made of wheat flour and sattu powder.

Cooking Steps

Step 1 :

Knead a soft dough with wheat flour, a pinch of salt, 1 tbsp oil and water as required. Once done, keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Step 2 : For the filling

Take a bowl, add sattu, finely chopped onion, crushed garlic, chopped green chillies, chopped coriander leaves, mustard oil, salt, ajwain, kalonji and lime juice. Mix it well to make a wet mixture.

Step 3 :

From the prepared dough, make lemon sized balls and keep it aside.

Step 4 :

Take lemon sized ball and make an impression using your thumb and fill 1 tbsp of the sattu mixture and close it.

Step 5 :

Roll out the paratha once again similar to that of a roti using dry wheat flour.

Step 6 :

Cook the parathas, one by one, on a heat tava with butter over it.

Step 7 :

Cook it till it turns golden brown on both sides and serve it with peanut chutney.
