Tambittu is a traditional sweet prepared in South India during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, etc.

Step 1 :

Rinse raw rice and allow it to dry. Once dry blend it into a fine powder.

Step 2 :

In a pan dry roast the powdered rice till it releases a nice aroma. Switch off the flame and set it aside.

Step 3 :

In a pan, add jaggery and keep stirring to obtain a stringy substance when you fill it between your fingers.

Step 4 :

Add the above rice powder evenly into the jaggery paste and add ghee as per proportions.

Step 5 :

Keep stirring till the ghee has been absorbed by the mixture.

Step 6 :

Take out from the pan and make small balls. Serve it fresh.
