Cabbage Chutney

It is a delicious Andra style cabbage chutney that goes with tiffin foods and is easy to prepare.

Step 1 :

Pour oil in a pan. Add cut pieces of cabbage and onions, saute them till it turns light brownish color and looses its raw smell.

Step 2 :

Remove them from the pan and keep it aside.

Step 3 :

Now, add curry leaves, coriander leaves, mint leaves, tomatoes and green chilli. Saute till the raw smell goes off.

Step 4 :

Remove it from the pan and keep it aside.

Step 5 :

Add oil in a pan. Add urad dal and saute it till it turns light brown in colour. Let it cool for 10 minutes.

Step 6 :

Mix all the ingredients and grind it adding a little water along with salt and tamarind puree and pinch of turmeric powder.

Step 7 :

Delicious cabbage chutney is ready. You can serve with dosa, idli, uttapam and rice as well.

Step 8 :

Add fried red chilli, mustard seeds and curry leaves as garnish.
