A spicy and tangy dry paneer dish, it is an ideal starter, it can also be had as a side dish for rice and rotis.

Step 1 :

Cut the paneer into cubes. Marinate the cubed paneer with curd, chilli powder, turmeric powder and lemon juice.

Step 2 :

Dry roast red chillies, fennel seeds, jeera, coriander powder, garlic pods and ginger, grind it into a coarse powder.

Step 3 :

In a 2 litre pressure cooker, add ghee.

Step 4 :

Add chopped onions, few curry leaves, tamarind paste and saute for a half minute.

Step 5 :

Now, add the marinated paneer cubes, salt, 3 tbsp of ground masala, and 1/4 cup of water, mix it well.

Step 6 :

Now close it and cook on high flame for 2 whistles.

Step 7 :

Release the pressure and open carefully.

Step 8 :

Garnish with remaining curry leaves and ghee. Serve it hot.
