Pineapple Pachadi

This is a sweet and sour side dish which goes well with rice or roti.

Step 1 :

In pressure cooker, add chopped pineapple, salt, turmeric and 1 cup water.

Step 2 :

Allow it to cook for about 5-8 whistles.

Step 3 :

Meanwhile, prepare a paste of grated coconut, garlic pieces, cumin seeds and green chillies.

Step 4 :

Add a little water to the ingredients and grind it in a mixer, into a fine smooth paste.

Step 5 :

Once the pineapple pieces are tender and cooked well, add the prepared paste into it.

Step 6 :

Mix it well, add a little water if needed and cook it for another 10 minutes on medium flame.

Step 7 :

After it is cooked, allow it to cool down to room temperature.

Step 8 :

Now, add curd to it and give it a good mix. The consistency of this dish will be similar to the dosa batter.

Step 9 :

In a small pan, heat coconut oil, saute mustard seeds, curry leaves and dry chillies well.

Step 10 :

Add this tadka to the dish and serve it hot.
