Gulab Jamun is one of the famous Indian sweet dishes that is consumed post lunch or dinner.

Step 1 :

Mix water, sugar and crushed cardamom. Boil the syrup until it turns sticky and keep it aside.

Step 2 :

Mix maida, milk powder and baking soda together in a bowl. Add ghee to it.

Step 3 :

In another bowl, mix curd and milk. Pour 1 tbsp of this to the flour mixture.

Step 4 :

Begin to bring the maida together to make a smooth dough.

Step 5 :

If the dough is too dry, can add little milk.

Step 6 :

Now, make balls from the dough. Grease your hand and roll it into a smooth ball.

Step 7 :

Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Deep fry the balls in it till they turn brown in colour, switch off the flame.

Step 8 :

Once done, dip the balls in the prepared sugar syrup for at least 2 hours and serve.
