Step 1 :
In a bowl, add maida and baking soda to it, mix it well and add 100 gm ghee to it. Mix it well to combine.
Step 2 :
To this mixture, add curd and mix everything well.
Step 3 :
Gently, add required amount of water needed and knead the dough. It should be softer than the poori dough. Ensure not to over knead it, the folds in the dough should be visible.
Step 4 :
Cover the dough and keep it aside for 15-20 minutes.
Step 5 :
Prepare one thread consistency sugar syrup by taking sugar in a pan and adding 3/4 cup of water to it.
Step 6 :
Heat ghee in a pan for frying. The pan should be medium hot.
Step 7 :
Make small roundels from the dough and press them in the center. Now, fry them on medium flame till golden brown, flip it to the other side while it is cooking.
Step 8 :
Once done, dip all of them in the hot sugar syrup for about 15 minutes.
Step 9 :
After 15 minutes take them out, place them on a plate and garnish it with chopped almonds.
Step 10 :
Allow the sugar syrup to dry and then serve it immediately.
