Rainy day, sunny day or any day, this is a recipe that chicken lovers will not get bored of. Unlike the usual cutlets, this is deep fried so hence it is crispy. It is had as a tea-time snack and can also be paired with regular meals. It tastes best when it is piping hot and had with tomato sauce and a cup of tea.

Step 1 :
Boil the chicken pieces in turmeric powder, pepper powder, 1 tbsp garam masala, salt and water until cooked.
Step 2 :
Once it cools, shred the chicken pieces and keep it aside.
Step 3 :
Boil the potatoes until soft. Once it cools down, peel and mash them.
Step 4 :
In a nonstick pan, heat oil and add chopped onions, chilli and ginger garlic paste. Once the oil starts to separate, add 1/2 tbsp garam masala and mix well.
Step 5 :
Add shredded chicken and mix well until the all the flavours are well combined.
Step 6 :
Garnish with coriander leaves and keep it aside to cool.
Step 7 :
Once cool, mix it with the mashed potatoes and roll it into an even-sized oval shaped cutlet.
Step 8 :
Dip the cutlets in the beaten egg and coat with bread crumbs.
Step 9 :
Heat oil in a deep pan over medium flame and fry the cutlets until crisp and golden brown.
Step 10 :
Serve hot with tomato ketchup or a dip of your choice.
