This is an easy to make, traditional Bengali dish. Its main ingredient is prawn, it taste delicious.

Step 1 :

Wash and clean the prawns. Marinate it with chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

Step 2 :

Make a fine paste of coriander leaves, onion, green chillies and garlic, using a mixer.

Step 3 :

In a kadai, add oil. Add the dry chilli and saute it for 30 seconds.

Step 4 :

Add the marinated prawns to the kadai and lightly fry it. Once done, keep it aside in a bowl.

Step 5 :

In the same oil, add kalonji seeds, once it crackles add jeera powder add the prepared coriander paste to it.

Step 6 :

Keep stirring till the masala is well combined and the oil leaves the sides. Add salt as per taste.

Step 7 :

Add half cup water and let the gravy cook. Once the gravy is cooked, add the fried prawns.

Step 8 :

Turn the gas to sim and let it cook for 10 minutes. Serve it with steamed rice.
