What better than a quick and healthy gluten-free khichdi for dinner on these cold wintry nights? The perfect comfort food which tasty to resist and just easy to prepare.

Step 1 :

Take quinoa and moong dal, rinse them properly, soak it in water for about 10 minutes and then drain the water.

Step 2 :

In a pressure cooker, add ghee, cumin seeds, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute it for a minute.

Step 3 :

Add quinoa and moong dal to it and roast it for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4 :

Add turmeric powder, hing and salt, mix it well. Next, add in about 3 cups of water and bring the khichdi to a boil.

Step 5 :

Close the lid of the pressure cooker and wait for a whistle on high flame.

Step 6 :

Now, lower the flame and let the khichdi cook for another 5 minutes.

Step 7 :

Finally, garnish it with grated carrot, lemon juice and curd. Serve it hot!
