Buttercream Truffle is an easy solution to your everyday or sudden chocolate cravings. This recipe is ideal for people who bake quite frequently and are often left with extra buttercream, not knowing what to do with them.

Step 1 :
In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, vanilla essence and powdered sugar until smooth.
Step 2 :
Add in milk, in portions and beat it for an additional 2-3 minutes until fluffy. You can also add a little food colour to the buttercream to make it look more interesting.
Step 3 :
Refrigerate the buttercream covered for about an hour or till it is firm enough to be shaped into balls.
Step 4 :
Remove the buttercream from the fridge, scoop 1 tbsp at a time and shape them into bite-size balls.
Step 5 :
Place the balls on a butter paper-lined dish and freeze them for half an hour.
Step 6 :
Heat the dark chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds till it melts entirely. Stir after every 30 seconds. It usually takes three intervals.
Step 7 :
Dip the buttercream balls, one at a time, into the melted chocolate with the help of a toothpick.
Step 8 :
Place them back on the butter paper. Keep them in the refrigerator for another 15 minutes and your truffles are ready.
