Chocolate Hummus

Just like savoury hummus, the chocolate version is irresistible and delicious. It is extremely healthy too and makes for a guilt-free dessert.

Step 1 :

Soak the chickpeas over night in warm water.

Step 2 :

The next day, pressure cook the chickpeas for 20 minutes or till cooked.

Step 3 :

Once done, drain the water and using a mixer, grind the cooked chickpeas into a fine paste.

Step 4 :

Add peanut butter, maple syrup, cocoa powder, cinnamon powder, and vanilla extract. Grind it once again.

Step 5 :

Add a pinch of sea salt and grind to a smooth yet crunchy paste.

Step 6 :

Transfer the hummus to a bowl, garnish it with chopped almonds and chocolate chips. Place 2 whole strawberries over it as a topping.

Step 7 :

Drizzle some maple syrup for added flavour.

Step 8 :

Serve it with plain lavash, cookies or crackers.
