This is a unique healthy recipe, that consists of brown rice, millet, sugar candy, sugarcane juice and coconut milk.

Step 1 :

Take brown rice, millet and moong dal. Wash and soak it, in hot water for 30 minutes.

Step 2 :

Drain out water from the soaked pulses, add sugar cane juice, saffron strands and pressure cook it for 7-8 whistles.

Step 3 :

After the pressure releases, mash it well.

Step 4 :

Coarsely powder sugar candy and add it to the cooked rice mixture.

Step 5 :

Add coconut milk, cardamom and mace powder to it.

Step 6 :

Mix it well and cook it on sim for 5 minutes.

Step 7 :

Roast the cashews and raisins in ghee and set aside.

Step 8 :

Serve this healthy pongal hot, in bowls topped with roasted dry fruits.
