Dahi Vada is a popular snack in India, it is easy to prepare and tastes delicious.

Step 1 :

Wash dal in water and soak it, overnight.

Step 2 :

Grind it in a blender till soft and creamy, adding little water.

Step 3 :

Put the batter in a bowl and add salt, red chilli powder, raisins and mix well.

Step 4 :

Heat oil in a pan and drop lemon size batter in oil and fry till light brown.

Step 5 :

Immediately, soak the vadas in cold water for 10 minutes.

Step 6 :

Squeeze the vadas lightly and arrange them in a serving dish.

Step 7 :

Beat curd with little water and salt.

Step 8 :

Pour the curd on top of the vadas.

Step 9 :

Garnish it with cumin powder, red chilly powder and fresh coriander.

Step 10 :

Serve it with sweet tamarind chutney.
