A very healthy, stomach filling recipe. It is best to have it as a tea time snack.

Step 1 :

In a bowl, beat the egg till fluffy, add butter and vanilla essence to it and mix well.

Step 2 :

Soak dates for 30 minutes in milk and grind it into a smooth paste.

Step 3 :

Add the dates paste to the egg mixture and mix well.

Step 4 :

Sieve the dry ingredients - flour and ground oats and baking powder.

Step 5 :

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients in portions. Add milk if the mixture is too thick.

Step 6 :

Grease the cake tin with butter and pour the cake batter into it and garnish it with walnuts.

Step 7 :

Place the tin in an preheated oven at 180 degrees and cook for 35 minutes.
