This is a quick and easy to prepare recipe for cold winter days. The main ingredient is dal that is rich in protein.

Step 1 :

In a cooker, add moong dal, toor dal, water and turmeric powder and stir well.

Step 2 :

Pressure cook it for 2 whistle, allow it to cool completely, then blend it in a blender into a smooth puree.

Step 3 :

Heat butter in a pan over medium flame. Add chopped garlic and sauté it for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4 :

To this, add the puree and salt. Stir and cook for 3-4 minutes and bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 5 :

When it starts to boil, add black pepper powder & freshly crushed coriander seeds. Turn off the flame.

Step 6 :

Add lemon juice and give it a good stir.

Step 7 :

Transfer the hot soup into serving bowls and garnish it with chilli flakes, if desired.
