Creamy Spinach and Potato Soup

This recipe is very easy to prepare. The combination of Indian herbs with the soup gives it an authentic taste.

Step 1 :

Boil chopped spinach with chopped onions, jeera, garlic and green chillies with 1/2 cup water.

Step 2 :

Allow it to cool down and puree it in the blender and set aside.

Step 3 :

Boil the potatoes with salt in enough water. Let it cool and blend it into a puree as well.

Step 4 :

Mix both the purees together and set it aside.

Step 5 :

Heat butter in a pan. Add the flour and cook gently for a minute.

Step 6 :

Add warm milk slowly to it and cook until it thickens.

Step 7 :

Now, add the puree mixture and salt, simmer it on low flame for 5 minutes.

Step 8 :

Serve it hot with toasted garlic bread.
