Step 1 :

In a vessel, boil masoor dal, moong dal, garlic and salt with 2 cups of water.

Step 2 :

Once done, allow it to cool to room temperature.

Step 3 :

Strain it using a strainer and keep the water aside.

Step 4 :

In a blender, grind the dal mixture into a smooth paste.

Step 5 :

Heat butter in a pan, add the dal water and the paste and bring it to a boil.

Step 6 :

Serve the soup hot!
