Roses are an integral part of the festive celebrations. They add a fresh flavour to any dish. This recipe is a jalebi dish infused with rose flavour.

Step 1 :

In a deep bowl, mix maida, sooji, besan and soda.

Step 2 :

Add a little water to the curd and make a paste. Add it to the batter and whisk well.

Step 3 :

Then, add 1 tbsp hot ghee, gulkand, food color and mix well. Add water to make it a thick batter.

Step 4 :

Keep the batter covered for 10 minutes. Heat ghee on medium flame in a flat saucepan.

Step 5 :

Meanwhile, make 1 string sugar syrup with sugar and water. Add saffron to it and keep it in a bowl, warming on a hot tawa.

Step 6 :

When the ghee is ready to fry, pour the batter in a jalebi press or squeezy bottle and make jalebis in it.

Step 7 :

Fry them gently till they are crisp and golden on both sides.

Step 8 :

Take out, drain the fat and immediately add the hot syrup. Soak each jalebi in syrup for 5 minutes.
