It is a simple chutney, it can be used as a main course along with rice as well as a side dish for dosa, idly and chapati.

Step 1 :

Using a knife slice pieces from the coconut.

Step 2 :

Add the coconut pieces, 5 green chillis, 10 tamarind pieces and a pinch of crystal salt into the mixer and grind it for 2-3 minutes.

Step 3 :

Add some water to make it semi solid and keep it aside.

Step 4 :

Take a small kadai, add 2 tbsp coconut oil and heat it on low flame. 4

Step 5 :

Now, add 1 tbsp mustard seeds and some curry leaves.

Step 6 :

Once the seeds start popping, switch off the stove.

Step 7 :

Take out the chutney from the mixer jar and pour it in a bowl.

Step 8 :

Pour cooked mustard seeds with oil. Add a pinch of asafoetida powder for taste. Mix it well and serve.
