Cooking Steps
In a mixing bowl, add maida, 1/2 tsp powdered sugar and 1/2 tsp baking powder. Mix the ingredients well.
Now, add ghee to it and mix well. Ensure there are no lumps formed.
Add curd to the mixture and mix well.
Then, add water as required and knead it into a dough. Ensure that the texture of the dough is smooth and has no lumps.
Once done, place it into a bowl and cover it with a damp cloth and allow it to rest for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes, knead the dough a little.
From the dough make ping-pong sized balls. With the thumb make a small depression at the center of each ball.
In a vessel, boil water and sugar together. Add sugar as required to prepare the desired consistency for the sugar syrup.
In a deep frying pan, heat oil, on medium flame. Once done, deep fry the badushas on low flame, until it turns golden brown in colour.
After frying it, immediately dip them in the sugar syrup for 5 minutes. Ensure both the sides are well coated with the syrup.
Meanwhile, dry roast a few cashew nuts in a pan. Once done, finely chop them.
Serve it in a small bowl, garnished with finely roasted cashew nuts.
